I looked forward especially to today as I wanted to start painting that red bar up the block next to the post office - Pedro's. And so far it's really been coming out well.It was a bit slow for a very short while, having been handling the Chinese brush now for so long, but the short period without oil paint was no hindrance. For two and a half hours I created something of real beauty. I am quite pleased. I met the owner, Pedro himself, an older Hispanic man, who was quite friendly and considerate. He obligingly left the door open for me to paint as I had planned in the sketch. I've got down already all the basics, I'll probably need to go back maybe twice more. Too bad it can't be sooner.
