For awhile now I've been studying the view from my window, especially now as dusk arrives later. Studying it, I drew out in graphite the view on paper, sized 17" X 15", and have now prepared the canvas. I'll entitle the work, Twilight. But it really represents more my own thoughts and feelings and memories of my childhood, remembrances of my parents, more so my father, things I noticed, felt, sensed. Time and distance lend clarity. Now I can connect the dots, pieces of the puzzle can fit together, and perhaps more so an image - images - can appear. It'll go in that work. I'll want to start it fairly soon while dusk still gives me more time.

I've been working on the painting, Twilight. I start working on it at 7:45PM with the window wide open. It's really a work in progress, getting ideas how to develop areas as I work. I'm interested in seeing how this work will turn out. Alot of ruminations, reflections from earlier, even childhood, contribute to this.
