Recently a new painting came to mind which I've started and am looking at now.  This week after work I headed to Sixth Ave and 28th where several floral shops are. I had in mind to search around for yellow flowers into which I would put them in the dark blue Chinese temple jar, give a thalo green background, separated by a pink line and the bottom quarter a Naples yellow - gorgeous. Seaching around I found the last two bunches of small 2" diameter, inch high, golden yellow flowers, rather like small chrysanthemums. I took them home and began the work that evening - Wednesday. The background color has changed, still the work so far is excellent, I'm quite pround of this new child. Really quite handsome.
