Yesterday I was at the Barnes & Noble bookstore, looking at art magazines. While browsing through Artforum, I was literally suddenly struck by a powerful image of a self-portrait. Incredible image. I literally had to sit down to think about this image. I've already stretched and gessoed the canvas, 24" X 18", and have set up the mirror and easel. It culminates a lot of what I've been through, experiences in the past, and then two people in my life. Right now I'll leave it at that, once it's done, then perhaps I'll elaborate on it further.
