The past two days - Friday and Saturday, I was up in Madrid, working on a landscape I've done in pastel. The weather was gorgeous, sunny and mild, and I really caught the color and season in this work, it's really beautiful! I'm very pleased. When I visited the gallery to see the print I  did of Madrid, I walked about to find a new scene, and walked up a gravel road past the Madrid Volunteer FIre Dept. About 15 yards past the station house to the right I spotted an old abandoned home which faced along Rte.14. From my view behind the home is a ridge, in front of me an empty field full of chamisa and wild grass. I did just a few touch ups of the foreground here today, otherwise it's done.......
